Midas recognised a gap was emerging in the business between construction sites and regional offices and undertook a strategic decision to centralise data and increase control.  The Workspace implementation also forced Midas to review its processes and how they were working.  This revealed a number of inefficient processes and led to one of the biggest cultural reviews and change that Midas has ever seen.

Workspace has helped Midas to deal with the sheer volume of growth that has occurred at the company.  Midas has grown from 80 users at start of the Workspace project to over 600 today.  Workspace ensures that new joiners are all working in the same way and ensures everything is joined up.

The management of projects in particular has been made more efficient through Workspace.  Estimator and business development teams can mange enquiries from inception and QS’s have costing data available directly, saving them on average 2 days a month.  The skills and training module has improved the tracking of accidents which has improved the companies’ safety record.  Midas achievements have been recognised in the industry with them receiving awards for information control and innovative use of on-site technology.
