The Extranet Framework allows external users restricted and controlled access your system. The collaborative nature of your projects means there will often be external stakeholders who require this extranet facility. The level access you grant is licensed on a trusted external partner basis, and is controlled and determined by your system administrators. External access is usually limited to project related data and document pool filing areas, but can be for certain clients and project teams if required.
User activity is tracked in the system so you can monitor who has accessed what information and when. This Extranet functionality also helps you cut down on email communication as files can be accessed centrally rather than sent back and forth as attachments.
